As the strange name implies, this scale offers a blend of the Raga Desh (also called Susvara) and Hijaz feelings, with a bassy twist. Rooted in Ab2 with a Db3 on the bottom, this scale offers two bass tones to play off of, while the D4 offers the harmonic minor "spice."
